01What cookies are

In short

Small files a site stores in your browser. This one doesn't use any.

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, which the browser sends back on later visits. Cookies are commonly used to keep you signed in, to remember settings, or to track behaviour across sites.

Browsers can also store data in other ways, such as local storage. Those are not cookies, but they are covered here because the distinction matters less to you than what is actually being kept.

02The cookies we use

In short

None. This site sets no cookies at all.

This website sets no cookies. Not only necessary ones — none. No analytics, no advertising, no session cookie, nothing set by us or by anyone else.

There is one thing stored in your browser, and it is not a cookie:

Everything this website stores in your browser, what it does, and how long it lasts.
quarkino-consentLocal storage, first-partyRemembers your cookie choice, so you are not asked again on every page.12 months

It is stored only after you make a choice, it contains nothing but that choice and the date you made it, and it is never sent to us.

03Third-party cookies

In short

There are none, because there is no third-party content on this site.

This website loads no third-party scripts, no embedded video or maps, and no fonts or images from another domain. Nothing on it can set a cookie belonging to someone else, because nothing on it belongs to someone else.

If that changes — if an analytics tool, an embedded player, or any other third-party content is added — this page will be updated before it ships, and anything beyond strictly necessary will be blocked until you have agreed to it.

04How to manage cookies

In short

Use the button at the top of this page, or your browser's own settings.

The Change cookie preferences button at the top of this page reopens the choice at any time. Your preference is stored for twelve months, after which you will be asked again.

Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies and local storage for a site. Doing so here will clear your stored preference, and you will be asked again on your next visit.

Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary runs before you have made a choice. Declining does not reduce anything on this site — there is currently nothing to decline.

05Changes to this policy

In short

If we add anything that stores data, this page changes before it ships.

The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Because this policy is a description of what the site actually does, it is re-checked against the built site before each release rather than reviewed on a schedule.
